What I do
Because I always loved drawing and excelled
in Art at school, I decided on art as a career.
I attended Walthamstow School of Art.
There I was lucky enough to benefit from
tutors of the calibre of Peter Blake,
Fred Cuming
and Ken Howard.
I graduated in 1965 with a National Diploma
in Design (NDD) in fine art.
After following a successful career in advertising,
graphic design and illustration I recently returned
to fine art to concentrate my efforts initially on
exploring the techniques of watercolour painting.
I enjoy landscapes, still life and portraits but will
tackle almost any subject.
I have exhibited at Patchings Farm and at
Obsidian Gallery near Aylesbury
as well as other
local shows.
My goals are to hold a one-man exhibition in the
near future, to develop my painting further and to
become more involved in producing figurative
sculpture. I am particularly drawn to portraiture in
both painting and sculpture and hope to undertake
commissions in this exciting field of art.
